In other news, Kash Patel seems to suck at his job, according to a new report obtained by the NY Post, in which former FBI agents used words to describe the current state of affairs as a “rudderless ship” and “all f–ked up.” and that he is “in over his head” and leading a “chronically under-performing” agency paralyzed by fear and plummeting morale, according to a scathing 115-page report compiled by a national alliance of retired and active-duty FBI special agents and analysts. Ouch. Yet some of this is being said by Trump supporters, and after the FBI handling of the Charlie Kirk case—and, of course, it’s the New York Post. Needless to say that Kash like others in the Trump orbit doesn’t seemed qualified for the job

We reported a few weeks ago that Kash, by investigating the Democrats who asked members of the military not to follow illegal orders, may be currying favor to save his job. You can read that here.

The White House, on November 25, said he wasn’t planning on firing Kash. USA Today reported that White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said in a social media post that she read the story’s headline to Trump in the Oval Office while he was meeting with Patel, and the president responded: “What? That’s totally false. Come on, Kash, let’s take a picture to show them you’re doing a great job!”

Here is that picture:

At the same time, while this is all well and good, Kash’s misuse of the FBI plane to see his girlfriend is now being investigated by Democrats on the Hill. He should ask his friend, DHS Secretary Kristi Noem, who got the Coast Guard who spent $200 million of taxpayer money on a pair of Gulfstream G700 private jets during a government shutdown. Maybe she could help him get away with that.

This is Rep Jasmine Crockett saying “Honestly, we just need to tell you bye bye.”

Back to Kash: reports say Patel used the FBI’s Gulfstream G550 to head to Pennsylvania for a wrestling match and a concert with his girlfriend, as well as a trip to a Texas hunting lodge. He also traveled by jet to Scotland for a golf trip (I sure imagine his boss was mad he couldn’t come)

The New York Times reports that Patel’s use of the planes is tied to “security concerns,” including the safety of his girlfriend.

How nice to spend tens of thousands of dollars on a $60 million jet, just to chill with your loved ones. At least he hasn’t committed any war crimes—yet. It’s a bizarro world where your Secretary of War can kill people, joke about it, and still be safe and handed a prized position next to you today, while you might be let go just for wasting some gas and taxpayer money.

Needless to say, as has been repeated, Trump’s people seem incapable of doing the job—not that the last 100 years produced a lot of good results, of course. Seemingly outright theft may not have been carried out so brazenly.

This was from a few days ago by former federal prosecutor Ty Cobb. He suggests that FBI Director Kash Patel will be ousted from the Trump Administration—and not by the big boss, whom Cobb can’t remember ever firing anyone except James Comey.
