This is a breaking story, and more details should follow. However, needless to say, when people get accused of a war crime, I guess this is one way to go.
At a speech this weekend at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in California, Pete Hegseth forcefully defended the U.S. military’s recent “drug-boat” strikes in the Caribbean — even as questions mount over their legality. The campaign, launched under the Trump administration, has resulted in more than 80 deaths since September and includes a controversial follow-up strike reportedly aimed at survivors. Hegseth compared suspected traffickers to terrorists and insisted that the strikes are justified to protect the United States. Critics, however — including legal experts and some lawmakers — argue that the operations may violate international law and that the evidence tying those targeted to cartel violence remains thin.

This was intended to be brief, but I need to share two important videos from Ben Norton that highlight the situation in Venezuela and Honduras. I strongly urge you to also examine the situation in Honduras, where the Trump administration’s so-called “war on drugs” in Venezuela is nothing but a facade. It’s a lie and a betrayal, to all Americans and people across the globe, especially considering that he pardoned the worst drug dealers as long as they aligned with his party’s agenda in Honduras.
