The Lee Camp Show — Edited Transcript

Edited from the supplied automatic captions for readability. Timestamps, filler words, and accidental repetitions have been removed; the speaker’s arguments, humor, and tone are retained.

Lee Camp: Hello, everybody. Welcome to the show. How you doing out there? Hope you’re clinging to that tree like the poster of the cat that says hang in there. Hope you’re still hanging in there. On today’s show, I’ll be getting into the statements by a famed economist known for predicting future events. He is saying that the EU will quite likely commit a false flag possibly early next year in order to start war with Russia. We’ll talk about whether he has it right. We’ll also point out some things he has wrong. Also, France’s student protests are growing. Could they spark similar mass protests in the United States? And RFK Jr.’s MAHA promises.

We’ll look at how well he’s delivering on said promises. I’ll give you a hint. The report card of MAHA looks kind of similar to my trigonometry report card in high school. That trigonometry is a kind of math, right? Or is that trigonosis? Anyway, all that and much more we’ll be getting to. So, click thumbs up, click share, click all that good stuff to help support the show. But let’s start. Okay, so Glenn Diesen—I generally very much like his interviews, and I was supposed to be at an event with him and John Kiriakou. I couldn’t make it to the event, but anyway, that was several months ago.

But he interviewed economist Martin Armstrong who is pretty well known. He’s made some pretty successful predictions. But he’s also getting up there in the years, and he says things like, ‘We put it in the computer,’ which I feel like now people say, ‘We put it in AI,’ or ‘We asked AI.’ Anyway, he’ll just say, ‘We put it in the computer, and the computer told us.’ Basically, he has a model that analyzes financial transactions in order to predict future events, and apparently he’s gotten several predictions correct. So, I want to go through this prediction he’s basically made on Glenn’s show.

And as I mentioned, I don’t know everything about this guy. I know he was prosecuted for like going bankrupt and stealing rare coins years ago, but that was like a quarter century ago. Let the guy steal some rare coin. Rare coins, huh? Come on. It’s gotta be tough to steal rare coins because if you’re caught with them, it’s not like you’d be like, “What? I just happen to have 500 Prussian Franks on me.

That’s just a thing I do.” Okay, but so, yeah, we’re going to play some of this, go through some of this, and look at his analysis, much of which I agree with. That’s why I’m showing the clip because I’m not trying to say look at this [censored] idiot. I agree with most of what he’s saying here. Okay. Wait, I didn’t want to start at the beginning, though. I want to start here.

Oh, and I should mention, someone has just brought it to my attention—too bad it took me this long to realize it—that the Lee Camp Show on Spotify, not on other podcast platforms, has not been updating since we had to make a platform switch a couple weeks ago. So, there have not been new episodes on Spotify, I’m sorry about that. I didn’t know about it. But we’re trying to get it fixed. So, if you are a podcast listener and you are pissed off or have been pissed off that you’re not getting the podcast, we’re working on it now that I know it’s an issue.

Oh, and I’m going to play this sped up because he does talk pretty slow. If it’s seeming too sped up, let me know and I’ll slow it down.

Martin Armstrong (clip): External enemy. Now, there’s a—

Lee Camp: Did you hear anything? I didn’t hear anything. Maybe you did.

Martin Armstrong (clip): Historian [name unclear], who commented on his observation as to why the Roman Republic fell and I think it’s applicable today. He said that once Rome conquered Carthage, Macedonia and [place name unclear], it no longer had an external enemy. So consequently, he said they turned inward. Groups formed fighting amongst each other. And he said that lack of unity basically tore it apart. That’s what we are seeing. Once communism fell and the Cold War ended, all right, there was no longer an external enemy. So now—

Lee Camp: Let me just add this. I think he’s right. I think that countries when they want to keep everyone united, they need an external enemy. They need a great other. And we see this in the United States, right? The ruling elite tell us to be angry at Iran, angry at Russia, angry at immigrants. The external enemy, usually. Now, they also said be angry at some internal enemies like trans people but in general they want the biggest baddest enemy to be this external force to keep everyone united. What he doesn’t mention is much of the uniting that the ruling elite want is to stop class war from breaking out.

The rich quietly commit class war all day every day. That is their job. That’s what they do. They are constantly committing class war by stealing from the poor, stealing from the middle class, enriching themselves. That goes on kind of quietly. What they want to stop is all of us realizing that our true enemy is the ruling elite and the system that propagates their ability to extract everything from us, our life force, our [censored] wealth, everything. Extract it all from us and instead be angry at that guy over there. So he’s correct that the ruling elite always need an external enemy.

Martin Armstrong (clip): You have these neocons, including [name unclear], that turn their hatred of communism into just ethnic hatred of Russians. All right, you forgave the Germans for Hitler but they don’t forgive the Russians for Stalin.

Lee Camp: That’s a pretty funny note, that they have fully forgiven Germany for Hitler, right? You never see the EU being like ‘Well, Germany’s still on our [censored] list.’ No, Germany’s one of the biggest economies and most powerful countries in the EU now. And so it’s like we’ve forgiven you for Hitler, but we’re going to keep hating Russia for Stalin and for communism even though it’s been decades since either of those things.

Martin Armstrong (clip): And I think it’s largely from the standpoint that they can’t sleep at night unless there is an external enemy. I mean, Russia is no longer communist. You know, they’ve adopted capitalism. So has China. So what is the actual issue? It’s no longer what it used to be where, ‘We will bury you,’ the idea that communism is better than capitalism. All that’s gone.

Lee Camp: And so this actually dovetails nicely with another thing I brought you a couple weeks ago, which was Richard Wolff, economist Richard Wolff’s analysis of why the EU is provoking war with Russia, why they’re continuing—the EU, this is—to promote the proxy war even though it’s harmed them greatly. It’s harmed their economics. Why are they still like Russia’s going to get us? We got to get Russia. And Richard Wolff’s analysis, which I agree with, is that the ruling elite, the capitalists of the EU, the rich, the powerful, they need a war for multiple reasons or need at least the threat of a war.

One is to funnel tax dollars into military spending. That military spending then ends up in their pockets, mainly contractors, and it filters down through many other rich people, lobbyists, everything. So, to grab those tax dollars, put them in their pockets via military spending. Another reason is, as already mentioned, unite all the people against the bad other guys instead of against the [censored] penis fungal captains that rule the systems. And then the last reason Richard Wolff points out is that we’re in late-stage capitalism.

The EU, including the UK, had managed to stay relatively wealthy because they’d already exhausted the early extraction of capitalism, but they were able to maintain their wealth by riding on the coattails of American extraction of the world. And now that’s breaking down. So the EU, the ruling elite, the rich of the rich, they don’t have a way to keep this crazy amount of wealth going. So they need a big grand war that also unites everyone so their heads don’t end up on pikes. Those are kind of their considerations.

Martin Armstrong (clip): So what is the actual issue? They have to say, ‘Oh, Russia wants to invade Europe.’ Why? They won’t ever explain that. Europe doesn’t have anything. When Japan invaded Manchuria, it was to get assets, natural resources. Europe doesn’t have anything of value. It has to buy energy from Russia.

Lee Camp: Yeah. So, his point here is this whole facade about ‘Russia was going to invade us. They’re going to take over Europe.’ There’s been no evidence of that whatsoever. Russia was furious at Ukraine for multiple reasons. One of which is the CIA was in Ukraine on the border of Russia, the expansion of NATO. But another is that you have these Nazi-aligned Ukrainians that were killing culturally Russian people in the thousands since 2014. So these are the reasons that Russia invaded Ukraine. Russia’s not just on a march across Europe.

But the EU keeps spitting out that dumb tripe because they need to provoke war with Russia or at least the monster looming around the corner of the war with Russia.

Martin Armstrong (clip): You’re not talking about gold. I mean what do you get? So it’s the other way around. Russia is the richest country in the world from a natural resource perspective. That’s why Hitler wanted it. Napoleon. So it’s more beneficial for Europe to say Russia wants to invade us, so we have to go after that. But it’s more profitable for Europe than it is the other way around. So it gets quite convoluted, but it’s usually always out of self-interest. And as I said, at this point, the EU has abused its power. And I mean, just look at France. I mean,

Lee Camp: All right, I’m going to skip a few seconds here. But I essentially agree with all that, and we haven’t gotten to the prediction yet. We’ll get there in a few minutes. I think I’m going to skip over the part where he turns racist for a few minutes. Here’s the thing. I actually debated whether to even bring this clip because he makes some good points, and those are the ones I want to show you—the good points he makes. And I believe he’s right. And then he throws in there some racist anti-immigrant, anti-migrant sentiment.

It would take three minutes of playing to get to one fact that he said, so I’m not going to do it. But he mentioned something completely false. A few minutes from where we’re at, he goes, ‘The numbers are out. Eighty percent of crime in Germany is committed by migrants and immigrants.’ And I was like, ‘That sounds wrong.’

Even if we’re talking street crime or violent crime—which, as I always try to point out whenever we talk about crime, most everybody who’s talking about crime is only talking about street crime. They just leave out all the white-collar crime. They leave out all the wage theft. They leave out all the polluting your water, [censored] killing your kids. They leave out all that. That doesn’t count as crime, apparently. And instead, it’s only the guy who stole your wallet or stole a car. But anyway, even that aside, I was like, “This 80% number sounds wrong.” So, I looked it up.

It’s [censored]. It’s, well, a phenomenal heaping pile of [censored]. Apparently he’s good at predicting foreign policy, but he’s also racist, I guess, is what’s going on here. Because what he’s referring to, the only thing he could be referring to is that a number came out or a report came out from Germany showing that 80% of suspects in street crime or violent crime in Germany—so these are suspects. These are not convicted. These are just people that German authorities think should be interviewed for a crime. 80% are non-citizens or foreign nationals or something like that. So they haven’t been interviewed yet.

And you go, “Wow, that sounds a lot. Why are 80% of suspects and crimes foreign immigrants, migrants, aliens?” Well, what it is, is the people who are suspects in crime in Germany that are citizens, guess what? They’re really easy to actually go and speak to or to interview or to prosecute, because they live in Germany. You have their paperwork. You have all of their information. It’s far easier.

So, the backlog of suspects that have not been found or not been you know, interviewed about a crime are going to be mainly the people who have an easier way to get out of the country or an easier way to hide or whatever. And that’s going to be the people who are not in the system or the people who have another country to go back to. So, this is the backlog of suspects that have not been interviewed on prior crimes. Again, not convicted. Again, not prosecuted, just suspects. So, that’s one reason that number 80% would be so high. Another would be that generally witnesses are somewhat racist.

Like you just take an entire population, you’re going to have some people that are racist. So, you’re going to have a certain number of Germans who were just certain that if a crime was committed, it must have not been a white German dude. It must have been one of those others. So anyway, but he doesn’t say that. He says 80% of crimes are committed by—it’s complete [censored]. Anyway, just wanted to let you know that he also spews some [censored]. But let’s get to the stuff I actually agree with here. Let’s see. And he also apparently steals rare coins sometimes.

Martin Armstrong (clip): It does definitely show rising civil unrest. And you should be able to see a lot more.

Lee Camp: So now he starts to get into the predictions. He’s talking about the EU and rising civil unrest.

Martin Armstrong (clip): I would say tendencies in this area should heat up probably in the first quarter next year. That’s where the computer is really showing. Even energy prices, diesel may not peak until maybe March next year.

Lee Camp: So I would argue that’s the same for the U.S. But rising civil unrest, prices going up, diesel going up, people suffering more and more. I’m about to talk about the protests in France, which are not disconnected actually from prices going up, inflation, gas prices, because even though it’s students saying we deserve better education, guess what? The class sizes are crazy. The food that they’re getting served at school is going down. So, basically, things start costing more and the government wants to take that money from the people take it from education. Austerity.

Anyway, these things are connected—the protests in France that I’m going to talk about in a few minutes. But okay, you take the two things that I’ve shown you together: the fact that the ruling elite of the EU need a great other to be at war with, and the fact that you’re going to see rising civil unrest. And guess what? When there’s civil unrest, people tend to point that anger towards the ruling elite, the ruling rich, which you know, the rich don’t like that. So, they need a bad guy to say that’s who you’re really mad at. So, now he gets into further predictions.

Again, for those of you joining late, this is Martin Armstrong, who’s clearly wrong on some things, but he has proven to be able to predict foreign policy, usually based on the way money is moving around the world. I don’t know why Mick is talking about me doing Coke, but no, I don’t do Coke. I’m sorry. I do snort Coca-Cola, though, if that’s what you’re referring to. I just straight up the old nose. Yeah, burns like hell. But I snort a lot of Coca-Cola. I saw one other comment from yesterday’s show. I don’t know.

I don’t know if they were saying I do drugs or that Zelensky does drugs. It was tough to tell because the episode was about Zelensky. But no, I’m just animated about these issues. Can’t I just be animated about the issues? I want to get that Macho Man Randy Savage vein going down the throat there. That’s what these ruling elite dickwads do to me. Good Macho Man Randy Savage, man. He would have made a great revolutionary leader if he pointed his angers towards that instead of towards you know Ultimate Warrior and Hulk Hogan.

Like if he were furious in the right direction like towards the [censored] the Donald Trumps of the world, the psychopathic pedo terrorists at the top instead of towards the men wearing their underwear on the outside. Like if he just angled it differently, he would have been a hell of a revolutionary. Just, ‘Oh, yeah! We need to change the [censored] world!’ That would have been epic. Epic. Okay, for those of you who have no idea what I’m talking about or who I’m talking about, I respect that you’re living a better life than I am and a better childhood, especially.

Martin Armstrong (clip): [Clip resumes mid-sentence.] I think, honestly, they’re going to have to try to do some sort of false flag and say Russia attacked us. Because the other way around just does not get everybody riled up to support them. That’s why even in the United States Roosevelt tried to get the Congress to issue a declaration of war to join World War II in Europe. It refused. He set up everything to make sure that Japan attacked Pearl Harbor.

Lee Camp: By the way, this is true. I mean, it is a conspiracy theory, but it’s not the colloquial version of a conspiracy. It actually is true that there was plenty of evidence that Japan was going to attack, and FDR needed an attack to get the country into World War II. And there’s evidence of them moving their ships into place. We covered a lot of it on my other podcast called Government Secrets. If you like historical truth like that, then definitely check out my other podcast, Government Secrets.

Martin Armstrong (clip): They broke the code.

They knew all about it. They put sanctions on them. Confiscated all their assets in the United States. Then put in an embargo to cut off all their energy, which they were buying from the United States at the time. And you can look it up. There was a Senate investigation on this. Because it was so outrageous. He pulled the aircraft carriers out a couple days in advance, let 3,000 people die to get into war. And the Senate had an investigation because there was way too much evidence against this. And they simply concluded, well, yes, some people had information. We’re not sure that FDR knew.

And that’s basically how they whitewashed it. But they had broken the code. We even have—

Lee Camp: Yeah. See, all that’s true. And the final button that they pushed was cutting off Japan’s oil because Japan knew they only had a few months of oil left if the U.S. wasn’t going to sell them any and cut off all U.S. allies from selling it as well. And so they figured, well, we better attack now because we’re going to be out of oil soon.

Martin Armstrong (clip): [Clip resumes mid-sentence.] An article from the [publication name unclear] on our site. It was leaked a couple days in advance. We’re going to be attacked that weekend. They did the same thing with 9/11. There’s a pro—Northwoods. You can Google that.

It’s on Wikipedia. It’s been—

Lee Camp: Also did an episode of Government Secrets on Operation Northwoods, in which the U.S. was planning—and like he said, you can view the plans. They’re publicly viewable nowadays. The Joint Chiefs of Staff wanted JFK to sign off on killing U.S. citizens, bombing U.S. citizens in Florida, blaming it on Cuba, and then using it to invade Cuba. So basically, it got all the way to JFK’s desk. We’re going to murder American citizens who know nothing about this in order to attack Cuba. And JFK was not down. He didn’t want to party like that, man.

Martin Armstrong (clip): [De]classified. They actually proposed killing Americans and blaming it on Cuba to justify war. This is what these people do. So I would be more concerned that they’re going to do some sort of a false flag and claim that Russia did something. You already have [name unclear] saying, “Oh, it was the airport and that warrants World War [number unclear].”

Lee Camp: What he’s referring to is the drone. It seems so dumb at the time that I didn’t even cover it, I don’t think. But there was a drone, like a malfunctioning drone at an airport in—was it Poland or something? And they said, “Oh, it’s this is Russia.

Russia’s trying to attack and NATO needs to go to war with Russia over this rogue drone.” But many including Kiriakou and Scott Ritter and others said that this likely was a Russian drone that like Ukraine got a hold of and then is using it to try and create a false flag to try and make it look like Russia has plans to attack NATO.

Martin Armstrong (clip): You know, they hate AfD. Now they’re out there trying to say AfD is getting its money from Putin. I mean it just gets to be laughable at times. But they are desperate to create war and this all stems back because you got civil unrest rising and you’ve got discontent growing everywhere.

Lee Camp: Okay, I think that’s about the end of it. But he’s essentially saying that the EU needs this war with Russia or they at minimum need a spectre of war with Russia and he is essentially predicting that you could very well next year see a false flag you know committed on EU soil or NATO soil in order to claim that Russia did it and therefore we have to go to war with Russia or be at, you know, full military setting ready for this big war with Russia.

Meanwhile, anybody who’s studied this stuff or actually getting their news from a legitimate place—[website name unclear] would know that Russia has shown no signs of wanting war with NATO or, if and when they win the war against Ukraine, the proxy war, they’re going to move on to the next country. They’re going to go after Sweden next. There is zero evidence of that unless you’re just a [censored] idiot who reads mainstream media. There is zero evidence. Russia has no intent of going after the EU or NATO. If NATO would just stay back and not be on their border.

Since I mentioned it, I’ll put [website name unclear] on the screen. Check it out every day. It’s free. It’s free. One of the many free services we provide here. All right, let’s keep moving. Let’s move on to the French protest. Although certainly there’s a segue there because he’s mentioning the large-scale unrest across EU and one of the biggest ones is the protests in France. So these are protests led by students, but it is certainly getting far bigger than that. This is from BBC. Everyone hates the police. What France’s school protests reveal about a divided nation.

So these protests are growing to be about more than just schools and schooling. And they’re growing to be about police and police violence. Kind of similar to—I mean, a lot of protests are like that—but kind of similar to Occupy. Occupy started as anger at Wall Street but quickly segueed into let’s talk about police brutality as the police serve the fascist powers and attack you know protesters. So it really is growing. Let’s see. Here’s a quote from a 16-year-old. So, he’s talking about schools. The protest started about schools: ‘There aren’t even enough chairs.

We have to go and find some at the start of every lesson. We’ve got 50 minutes to eat at lunchtime, but there’s 2,000 of us trying to get through the canteen.’ We would call it a cafeteria in the U.S. He’s one of hundreds of thousands of students who are protesting across France setting things on fire, dust bins on fire and stuff. Again, property destruction is not violence. It’s property destruction. Secondary schools attended by 15- to 18-year-olds, I guess, are the main ones. They’re protesting staff shortages, dilapidated facilities. Here’s another quote from an 18-year-old: ‘They have armies. They have the police. They have the powers. But we have the mass population.’

‘The protests, which have turned violent…’ Yeah. But you know what else about violence is when the police come and start beating people over the heads, guess what? That tends to make people want to defend themselves. So police often create the violence. They’re often the fomenter of said violence. They become a focal point in France’s polarized politics with all sides accusing the other of escalating tensions. As a presidential election approaches, politicians on both the hard right and hard left have sought to capitalize on the unrest. The protests ignited at—a name of a school I can’t pronounce.

Videos of rats scuttling through the corridors in the school soon hit social media. The problem for the French government, which became clear as we spoke to dozens of students this week, is that even if a tiny minority of the schools have a problem with rats, a very large number of students believe their own education is failing them. And like I said, yes, the schools are kind of the focal point and the spark that has set this off. But this isn’t just about schools, right? This is about a capitalist system that is using austerity to suck more money from the people. That money comes from schooling.

It comes from health care. It comes from pensions. It comes from all these different places in order to feed the greed of the ruling elite. You know, you never hear them say, “Oh, maybe the billionaires should be taxed a little more.” I’m not saying you never hear it, but you rarely hear people in power saying that. You usually hear that from the people that are not in power because these systems are designed to keep the people in power as the richest or at least rather wealthy people that are not going to go after their own, right? They’re not going to be class traitors.

And we’re seeing this in the United States as well. You know the gutting of the education system, the gutting of health care, the I mean we don’t even have healthcare to begin with, but the gutting of anything that benefits people and doesn’t provide the rich, the wealthy, you know, security. So, you’re not seeing the gutting of the police because the police are used to keep the class system in place. You’re seeing the gutting of schools or the gutting of the postal service or the gutting of infrastructure so we don’t repair our bridges as they’re collapsing around the country. We have like 50,000 structurally deficient bridges across this country.

So, but they’re not gutting the police for some reason. Police [unclear] good budgets. All right. All right. Good. Good. Good. That’s what I like to see. I like to see a lot of people with guns. You don’t want their guns getting rusty, you know? You don’t want their guns getting old. But so we’re seeing it across our country as well. And you know, I think an important question is could these protests grow outside of France? Could they grow into more of the other EU countries that are sucking off their citizens? That didn’t sound right. No, not sucking off. Because that would be a benefit.

That would be the opposite of austerity. Guess what? We’re going to start sucking everyone off. I feel like that policy would probably do pretty well. I feel like you probably wouldn’t see many protests. You’d probably see government approval ratings would get a lot better, I think, if they started sucking everyone off. Sorry. Sorry. Moving on. But no, you the question is could these protests grow? Could they grow through EU through the UK? Could they grow to the United States? Let’s remember that Occupy, which I was at on the first night. I’m a first nighter. [censored] first nighter. Occupy.

Actually, I helped put out the call that ultimately turned into Occupy. Some people who were organizing that I did not have any connection to asked me to make videos promoting this crazy idea of an occupation of Wall Street. But you should remember that occupy there were sparks before it, right? The Arab Spring which yes did not result in a lot of a lot of great change in Arab countries but the concept was good. The concept of the people wanted to be treated better. So the Arab Spring kicks off, you had other protests in several other countries and then you see Occupy in the United States.

So, it’s quite possible that this protest could spark more protests in the United States. And on that topic, I also wanted to talk about, you know, because I also want to give you guys solutions. Show that the solutions are out there that there’s plenty of solutions and answers and things that people are working on to better our society. It’s not just all destruction and fear. And in the U.S., as they continue to gut our schooling systems, our public schools, why do they do that?

Well, one is because they again want to siphon off more and more money to give to the rich so that the rich don’t have to be taxed. But, you know, Trump has put through—forced through—some of the largest tax cuts for the rich that the country’s ever seen. Of course, he got help from some Democrats as well.

But another reason besides that they want to gut public schooling—and really already have across the United States—is they want to switch as much as possible to charter schools. Because then the middle and upper classes have to pay for schooling, which more people get rich from. But perhaps more importantly they don’t actually want everyone educated. Everyone educated correctly, like actually understanding what’s going on in society. That’s a nightmare for the people at the top of the systems for the richest of the rich. That’s a nightmare for them if we’re all educated and understand how [censored] works.

So what they want actually is for a lower class to be uneducated and to take all the uneducated jobs and not have the ability to advance very far in society. That’s good for them. That means that you’re far less likely to have the bottom 50% have the knowledge, the understanding, the historical knowledge, etc. The understanding of organizing, the understanding of the fact that these solutions are out there, some of which I’m about to talk about, all of that type of education, community organizing, community education. It’s a nightmare for them if the bottom 50% especially have that information, have that knowledge. So they want public education to kind of suck.

That’s actually the aim. And so they’ve defunded it. You know, you got one teacher trying to deal with 40 students. If you’re a lower level student initially, so let’s say you I don’t know what grade. I mean, it starts as early as third grade. They start deciding here are the kids that we should actually bother teaching. Here are the kids that we’re not going to bother teaching. So they’ll just be left behind. And that’s then kind of done more in fifth grade. And then you get into middle school and it’s done again.

And you slowly weed out the ones that we’re not going to bother really teaching. Yeah, they’ll have classes. We’ll call it a class where they like hammer two pieces of wood together, but we’re not. It don’t matter. And then you have kind of the managerial class that we’re going to bother educating, but they’re not going to go to the Ivy Leagues where your parent had to go there and you have to spend $100,000. No, no, they’re just going to be the kind of lower management class. But so all these reasons are why they’ve already worked very hard to gut public education.

And I think I’ve got these numbers correct. We spend over 60% now of our discretionary funding, the funding of the federal government, we spend over 60% on war and death and missiles and bombs and killing children. And we spend 6% on education. So, we have smart bombs and dumb as [censored] kids. So, what’s the solution to this? Well, of course, the large-scale solution is for us to take back our government, for it to no longer be captured by corporate interests, no longer captured in inverted totalitarianism. That’s the big answer. But obviously, that’s not easy.

The smaller answer, the one that can actually be done by a community, as opposed to it requiring millions of people, is community schooling. There are a lot of examples across the United States. Now, percentage-wise of students, it’s not a huge percentage, but there are examples of where this has been done. Here’s one in Arizona called [unclear] Mary Lou Fulton College for Teaching and Learning Innovation. But anyway, this is the Black Mothers Forum. They customized a microschool model to better meet the needs of Arizona’s black families because these kids were not getting a good education.

And it’s community education much like you know some areas do community patrols and say, ‘Get police out of our communities, and we’ll handle it ourselves.’ And in that way, guess what? They know the community. They know their people. They know the ones with mental illness. They know the ones that need help. It’s just a far different thing. It can be done with education as well. And you see that there are examples of this across the nation where communities, small communities have gotten together and said we can give our kids a better education. Now I want to be clear.

We can walk and chew gum at the same time is what I’m saying. I’m not saying, yeah, let’s, you know, not that, let’s just drop out of the U.S. government and give up on all of it and never try and change any of it and we go do our own thing because the truth is the ruling elite would love that. Yeah. Yeah. You go do your thing and never interact with us anymore. Go ahead, try. We’ve got the big guns anyway is what they’d say.

So, I’m not saying abandon all efforts to fix public education or anything else, but often when something is as captured as the U.S. government is, when a system is as firmly installed as the corporate ownership of this country, often the largest change will come from creating microcosms, creating the new reality. And then that new reality becomes too powerful, too big, too enticing, too exciting to be denied.

And it grows and it grows. I don’t know all the history of capitalism, but I think Richard Wolff has talked about how the origins of capitalism started with people in the feudal system that were kind of rejected from it, going out in the woods and starting a new system. The system eventually took over nations, ultimately became the de facto system. But the point is that you create the world you want to see, as best you can.

Now, you know, with some of these things, with education, you’re probably not going to get too much pushback, but with some of these things, like you look at the Black Panthers, and they started doing that, and the federal government [censored] came for them, assassinated Fred Hampton in his bed while he slept after they had an infiltrator drug him. And so if it becomes powerful enough—like, the Black Panthers had clinics, they had education, schooling, they had food pantries. They were becoming quite powerful, and the federal government ultimately grew to fear that and decided to destroy them, mostly by making up fake crimes and false flags, etc., and imprisoning them.

And then locking them up. But they also assassinated some folks. You know, why not kill a few while you’re at it? But here’s another example. You know, I just got a couple, but there really are examples of community schooling across the country. This one’s in Detroit. It’s called [acronym unclear; captions render it as IFFF]. Apparently, I looked up what IFF stands for, and they actually don’t use what it stands for anymore. I think it used to have Illinois something, but now they’re not just in Illinois. And so they have abandoned what it stands for, and it’s just IFF, which is an interesting choice.

We’re just the letters. There’s no words that go with it. They should have made up new words to go with it. Like, ‘I Am the Future Foundation.’ I don’t know. They should have made up something to go with the letters. But no, it’s just IFF, and they operate in Detroit, but that’s not the only place that they operate. Although, I don’t know, the thing on their main page says something about a charter school. So maybe they’re not maybe I misunderstood. Maybe they’re not a community school. Maybe they’re a charter school. Anyway, my point I saw a bunch of other examples.

I may have just picked a bad one, but my point is these do exist across the country. Small community schooling examples. And I get that it both may not be right for you and it may not be possible for you. I mean, I don’t have the ability to create a community school. So, yeah, Katie Kane makes a good point in the comments about the Uhuru. And the Uhuru have created a lot of community services, including food and education, everything else. And sure enough, they have been attacked and the U.S. government has gone after them.

And the U.S. government has tried to claim, although they ultimately won the trial, but tried to claim that they were Russian agents. They actually prosecuted them for being Russian agents. So yeah, if you get successful enough, they will come after you. But I don’t think the federal government would come after you for just having a small community school or community schoolhouse or whatever. Okay, I’m running out of time. Ah, [censored]. Okay,, let me make some tough choices here. All right, let’s talk about the MAHA report card real quick. MAHA, Make America Healthy Again.

This is RFK Jr.’s thing. A group has put out a report card of RFK Jr.’s promises—him and Trump—on the MAHA front, and how many of them they’ve actually kept. Promises kept stands at zero. Promises partially kept stands at five, although with a lot of the partially kept if you actually read them it’s like they started to move towards keeping a promise but then have done nothing more. So it’s basically not keeping the promise. And then promises broken: 37. And they do a great job of showing you the promise, showing you the actual quotes of Kennedy saying we’re going to do this or that.

So they start off with the promise that they’re going to drain the swamp, right? The promise that they’re going to get rid of all the corporate interests and the chemical companies and then the report card goes through and shows you all of the [censored] chemical lobbyists, etc., that he’s hired. Nancy Beck comes back to the EPA, former lobbyist for the Chemistry Council, which is a chemical company. She loves PFAS, forever chemicals. Another chemical industry lobbyist at the EPA named Lynn Ann Dekleva. Pesticide lobbyist was appointed to oversee pesticides. Revolving door analysis was published.

A Public Citizen/Revolving Door Project analysis revealed that 68% of the nominees to the EPA and the DOE and the Department of Interior in Trump’s first nine months in office had documented ties to the industries. So this is the opposite of draining the swamp. This is finding the most hideous swamp creatures and putting them into office. RFK has also had a nice link with Bayer. Bayer, the horrifying big pharma chemical company that now owns Monsanto. So everything horrific that Monsanto used to do is now just under the Bayer umbrella. So it’s not that Monsanto’s gone. Remember how much we protested Monsanto? It’s not that they’re gone.

They just go by the name Bayer now. Also, Bayer got its start as a Nazi chemical company that tested on Holocaust victims. So, gotta love Bayer. Every time you pop a Bayer aspirin, just remember how wonderful they are and where they got their start. Pesticide exposures completely not kept that promise. In fact, they’re allowing forever chemicals. They’re allowing more pesticides than ever before. They removed pesticides from the MAHA report. They ended pesticide recordkeeping. You know, I could go through this for an hour and a half. Clean air and water. Here are some of the promises from either Trump or the EPA administrator.

Under the Trump administration, we will continue tirelessly in our work to ensure clean air, land, and water for every American. RFK Jr. said the Trump White House will advise all U.S. water systems to remove fluoride from the public water. Now, hilariously, on the fluoride front, they listed that as a partially kept promise because he has given an advisory to the states that’s nonbinding. The guidance was delivered to recommend the addition of fluoride to local water systems stop. So that’s non-binding. It’s not really a promise kept.

But the other funny thing which this report does not mention is that fluoride, if you actually study it, can be harmful. But also, at the rates—anything can be harmful at a certain percentage, right? You can die from water intake. They’ve done contests where it was who can drink the most water, and people have died. So you can die from water. You can die from anything depending on the concentration, depending on the parts per million. So it’s about how much of it. Fluoride at the rate that it’s in our tap water has no harm. Fluoride at a far greater amount can have harm, can cause harm.

Which is why toothpaste say don’t swallow them. And why if you have a fluoride toothpaste, you should not give it to your little kids because guess what? Kids eat all their toothpaste. I think I remember because they used to have bubble gum. I don’t know if it had fluoride in it. They used to have bubble gum toothpaste when I was a kid. We would just like suck the tube. All right. Just eat all the toothpaste. So that percentage of fluoride is far higher than what’s in your water. Your water is a you know one part per two, you know, per whatever millions.

I don’t know what it is, but there’s really from what I’ve seen there is no risk of tap water alone harming you. What could harm you is if you’re eating a lot of toothpaste. But RFK Jr., he has a few things like this where he chooses to completely ignore the concentration of a chemical and say it’s incredibly harmful. Of course, then you’ve got forever chemicals where he’s just turning a blind eye. Forever chemicals do not get washed out of your system and they’re incredibly harmful, obviously, and he’s totally fine with that. He rolled back protections from PFAS, the forever chemicals in drinking water.

He’s of course getting rid of scientists that study these things. Anyway, you guys can go check out the rest of the report. I don’t need to go through every one, but that’s mahascorecard.com. And he’s doing great with a whopping zero promises fully kept. Impressive job, RFK. Okay, I am going to jump. I don’t know why I’m destroying all my former heroes.

This seems to be a new theme of mine. I don’t know if I’d call them heroes, but people and entertainers and celebrities that I used to like, I’m now on an ongoing like mission to be like what a [censored]—but let me say I’m not actually trying to do that. It’s like I don’t I don’t go out and go, “Hey, when I was 18, Jerry Seinfeld was important to me in my comedy career. I’m going to go and destroy that fuck.” No, they make themselves awful people and that is just too bad. That is on them.

So, the latest one, unfortunately, and I gotta say, I have, especially in my teen and early 20s years, I loved Metallica. Loved a lot of Metallica. Especially with the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra—what a [censored] double album that is. You add an orchestra to Metallica, it’s just there’s nothing better. There’s nothing better. But I know it’s gonna be shocking to everyone. Hetfield: bit of a [censored]. So he decided to say this in response to Macklemore standing up and others. I think me being one of the others, honestly.

I don’t mean he knows who the [censored] I am, but I was at a Strokes show recently in front of 40,000 people in New York and yelled free Palestine. So maybe he’s referencing that also, but he’s probably mostly talking about Macklemore.

James Hetfield (clip): Metallica is not here like some other entertainers to influence you with their [censored].

Lee Camp: Okay. He’s not here. I want you to remember what he’s saying. He is not here to influence you with [censored]. Now, of course, that means standing up to genocide at all in any way.

James Hetfield (clip): No [censored]. We’re here to forget about all the outside [censored]. Metallica’s agenda is love, energy, and heavy music.

Lee Camp: Okay. So he is not here to influence you. He is here just to have love and music and angry music. That’s it. Except that he has a history of doing exactly that standing up for the—I mean, a big proponent of the proxy war in Ukraine. In fact he repeatedly has donated hundreds of thousands to Ukrainian causes. Visits wounded Ukrainian soldiers, which usually means Nazis. A lot of the wounded soldiers that you see highlighted are from these Nazi battalions. But anyway, shouts out Ukrainian fans from the stage and has the band highlight Ukrainian musicians and relief efforts every chance he gets.

But he’s not here to say anything political, right? Also Mick Wallace—awesome Irish politician—responded and said, ‘The same Hetfield didn’t mind shouting about his pro-NATO proxy war [censored] in Ukraine, which could well be linked to his refusal to speak out about the Israeli genocide in Palestine, given that NATO supports Zionism every day.’ So this is shitty. His statement about we’re not trying to influence you is shitty in multiple ways. One, if you are a [censored]—like, if you’re in the middle of a genocide and you don’t feel the need, you want to just tell everybody just don’t talk about it.

We’re not here to talk about it. Then that’s already ethically disgusting. Like this is a genocide. It’s being perpetrated by your country, right? American. This is a genocide that your country is doing. Your tax dollars and my tax dollars are being used to obliterate children in Gaza and in other places like Iran. But so you are making a choice. And in fact, I performed at Sam Husseini’s campaign event last night—he was running on the Green Party— and I said this onstage. I was talking about how silence or claiming to not be speaking about it is a political stance.

It is a full-throated defense of the status quo. It is a defense of genocide, a defense of destruction, a defense of bombs raining down on children, a defense of surveillance, a defense of AI slop and pride and ignorance, a defense of concentration camps across this United States where families are torn apart. That is what you’re actually saying when you’re saying don’t talk about it, don’t mention it. We don’t we don’t do that here. So it’s shitty in that regard.

But then you get your double shitty when it turns out he actually will be outspoken about certain things that have nothing to do with his music, about supporting proxy war in Ukraine, about supporting our war that we created in Ukraine where we are fighting Russia to the last Ukrainian. So he’s supportive of that. So you get it all. You get just being an [censored]. You get being a hypocrite. You get it all in that statement from James Hetfield, lead singer of Metallica. Now, I can’t say I’m shocked. I don’t generally look at Hetfield and go, I bet his politics are excellent.

I bet he is just a pure and wonderful individual. Also and you know, he’d probably claim this isn’t political at all, but he posts photos of himself you know, murdering lions and things like that, whatever the safaris are where you can go kill a tiger out in the woods and these gorgeous animals. He’ll post photos of himself standing with dead lions and tigers and elephants and [censored]. I don’t know if he’s ever killed an elephant, but he’s very proud of that stuff. And in my view, that is also political. Like these are the remnants of some of the most gorgeous creatures this world has ever created.

And because you’re rich, you are paying to go murder them. So that’s not just you being proud of your hunting photo. That is you taking a political stance, saying something politically about what you stand for, you know, and what you stand against. Sorry. I don’t know why I’m going after all the people I loved when I was 20, but that seems to be the theme recently. What an absolute piece of [censored]. And the other thing is you could remain silent and no one would be talking about it, right? If Metallica went and played a show, I mean, it would still be shitty.

Any entertainer with thousands of people in front of them that doesn’t say at least free Palestine or something. It’s pretty shitty. But no one would be talking about it. Like I’m not doing a segment on how this band or this band didn’t say anything on stage last night. Of course, that’d be like 99% of all bands and music they didn’t say anything. You made a choice to go after the people who have risked their career, their finances, their, you know, many of them who are big in the industry, have lost management.

People like Susan Sarandon, Roger Waters had the biggest, you know, sponsors of his tour pull out, which makes it incredibly difficult to, to keep the tour financed, you know, like big banks pulled out because he was a Palestine lover or whatever they called him. So these people actually risk something and you’re berating them for speaking out against genocide. Impressive. Impressive. Looking good, dude. Good luck. Good luck, dude. Good luck. All right, I’m going to wrap up there. I will be back Friday. Remember, Friday is our morning episode, 10:00 a.m. Eastern, but obviously you can watch it at any time. This is also a podcast.
