  1. I bought the book, Some of the articles are so gruesome that they left me with a sense of revulsion. That humans can be indoctrinated with such a sense of prejudice illustrates the lengths that evil people and regimes will go to brain wash their military to achieve their objects. Not even the most basic of animal species, to my knowledge, ( and I believe that all species have inherited prejudice for survival reasons) , revert to such acts sickening behaviour.

    1. This reminds me that just a few days ago I was thinking how many male slave owners deliberately impregnated their young female slaves…and then sold the children.

I don’t get that some people can see other people as sub-human and deserving of evil acts upon them.

    2. Apparently it is not only the military that has been “brain washed” to accept them – we the people seem to have no difficulty electing leaders who instigate them ….

  2. Chris- I think that you have just made war obsolete. Anyone who hears or reads your words will learn what war does to them and will say “no.” Your presence as a foreign correspondent in so many wars has given you a view that validates the truth in what you are expressing…and feeling and living with. Thank you for transforming your own burden into a message that will help others and hopefully the world to see the evil of war and put an end to its use at the present time and forever. My prayers are with you and the many others who have suffered from the crimes against humanity and against creation that war represents.
