Earlier in her career she worked for the Wall Street Journal, co-founded the feminist site Jezebel and waited on Steve Miller and Steve Mnuchin’s wife at various fine dining establishments. Scheer has written eight books, including two this decade: “The Great American Stickup: How Reagan Republicans and Clinton Democrats Enriched Wall Street while Mugging Main Street,” and his newest book is “They Know Everything about You: How Data-Collecting Corporations and Snooping Government Agencies Are Destroying Democracy.” He is a clinical professor of communications at the Annenberg School for Communication & Journalism at the University of Southern California. He has interviewed Jimmy Carter, Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan, Bill Clinton and others. Between 1964 and 1969 he was Vietnam correspondent, managing editor and editor in chief of Ramparts magazine.
