  1. A Formula shortage has resulted in a surge of mass shootings as desperate moms go hunting for milk. Conservatives repeat: “Shoulda planned better shoulda thought ahead. More Police- more Police, throw some enforcement on it.”

  2. This is such a sad commentary on present day America.

  3. The recent tragedy that occurred in Buffalo is only compounded by the knowledge that nothing will be done. Already this year, approximately 200 mass shooting have taken place. Of course, the corporate media will do its “how can such a terrible event occur in America today” routine. But the gun laws of this country continue to make guns more available — particularly for white males — and this fact is hardly ever acknowledged. Why?
Two-thirds of Americans do NOT own guns. But we are held hostage by the one-third that do own guns! Thousands of Americans are slaughtered every year. Every year! But the powers-that-be will not do anything about this national and deadly disease.
We create a thousand lame excuses, or a thousand worthless rationalizations, to convince ourselves that this is a ‘normal’ way of living in America.
In the end, America kills approximately 40,000 of its citizens per year.
And a deafening silence continues to engulf the nation.

    1. Ouch ! but all too true Dr. R D. The deafening silence to which you refer is not only about our insane gun-culture, but, on all of the most important topics of our times. Why discuss such issues when we could be busy rearranging the patio furniture ?

    2. Dr. Doyle: American gun rights have a lineage and a political utility. Yes, there is an originalist basis for the intimidation we feel when privileged characters are allowed to bring firearms into public debates during governmental procedures, or even to parade armed around a retail market or public space. The attitude is that by carrying a gun one is bestowed special rights and is superior by default. The implication is that Supermen deserve guns and that the rest of us are wimps for not carrying. As you document most people don’t own guns. They know better.
What else do they know? Non gun owners know and understand that our judicial system favors toters, and that there is a popular mythic tradition of settler colonialism and western drama. The Second Amendment is conferred a subcontext that says gun violence (terrorism) is an unwritten white male right. That is why you can assuredly state that two thirds are held hostage by fear of the one third. (Notice that’s about exactly the percentage of voters who claim The Steal.)
I often remind people that American gun rights originate with slave patrols and racist militias of the late 17th century, when our Holy Constitution was being written and forced through by a tiny white male minority, plantation masters and “importer/exporters”. Two conditions resulted: Individuals are intimidated from speaking up in opposition to weaponry; and, When they do summon the courage to speak up they are not taken seriously. It’s as if they threatened to disallow mental defectives and bullies the use of their
      lethal crutches.
*In my earlier caption I suggested that the only response a desperate mother of a starving baby might be granted in America is to take up arms. I saw a sick logic.

    3. Hi Dr. Doyle,

What if the tragedy of gun violence was a result of societal breakdown? What if the ingredients necessary for a healthy society were diminished? My point is that violence on this scale is a measure of the unraveling of our sense of community and belonging to one another.
I’d rather the weapons didn’t exist, but I grew up with a father who had 7 guns. Not once, in any moment of anger, did I think about grabbing one of his guns to harm someone.

No, this problem is more a measure of a failing society.

  4. Let’s all call for gun control over the general population from the police state, militarized by the Pentagon, as fascism’s mass murder of humans and rights proceeds.

    1. So, how’s that idea of an armed populace working out? Are our politicians more honest? Are the police less aggressive? Did the corporations stop treating workers like shit? Why, no. It seems the exact opposite has happened. But how?
Weapons always make people more aggressive, not less. And good weapons, like firearms, make people really aggressive, and overly confident.
“What hath made them drunk hath made me bold!” That’s from the bard as spoken by MacBeth. We are drunk on guns. We have tried it this way for over 240 years. Do you think maybe, just maybe, prudence and common sense would lead us to try something else?
      I doubt it.

      1. The idea is that prudence and common sense would lead us to look for solutions elsewhere than the state, principal purveyor of violence, which had a lot to do with creating problems in the first place.

      2. If everbody had thar on automatic ass-salt wheapons with super long clips, then when they fared the the bullets would be so thik they’d knok eachother down. Nobody’d git shot, but all have some fun. At’s science, so not in quistion. On’t be trying to replace me with a illegal alien.

      3. Bib B,

Your point is to attack guns or gun ownership, but you aren’t effective. Your written position is groundless. At least make an adult argument for your case. Amend the 2cd for instance, something other than your superiorist snark.

You list a conflation of social ills and fail to tie any of it to guns. You make a silly claim about guns making people aggressive, without evidence. You invoke Shakespeare in a foolish way, turning an attempt to appear intellectual on it’s head. Last of all you falsely infer you offer either prudence or common sense when you offer only snark.

You are presuming you are perhaps preaching a choir, but many people who neither like nor own guns, like myself, smell in you a bigot with a poor understanding of enumerated rights under law & equal justice. Your attitude is more dangerous than guns.

      4. C. Kent,
I agree with Big B. He is not a bigot (how did you deduce that?) He didn’t use snark. In fact, it seems you did the very things you are accusing him of doing. People are more aggressive with guns in their hands. I’ve seen it myself in several countries, not just the US.

      5. Rob Roy –
        1. That Big B is snarky is as plain as the nose on a face, as his opening sentence is pure mockery, for instance associating gun owning with police violence. This cheap attack style marks his post throughout. His conclusion that he knows commons sense, but a giant swath of people taken together can be said to be devoid of it, belies the definition of the term common sense.
        2. Big B is a bigot because he INTOLERANTLY categorizes a vast swath of people based on an object they own, this is like judging people by their car or the music they listen to, it is bigotry defined. It also insults high school level statistics, and anyone who actually KNOWS gun owners see immediately that they are normal Americans thus what he says about them is a concoction to meet his snarky bigoted ends. He mostly likely doesn’t know any gun owners, while he knows all about them. That is bigotry.
        3. That you “have seen” some violence and therefore draw broad conclusion again belies statistics and is a concoction, as you do NOT SEE all the gun owners who simply keep their weapons quietly and peacefully stored so that they can be used as they are intended, which is the vast majority. Most gun violence is related to substance abuse or the pursuit of criminal gain. You agree with Big B perhaps because you think like him.

  5. Andrew Cohen — “Americans do not trust each other.”
    https://www.msn.com/en-ca/news/world/cohen-how-the-united-states-became-the-republic-of-death/ar-AAXtBVR?ocid=msedgntp&cvid=d309662c1eb44ceebd4f2fdde560fd14

so, why does the Western world trust American leadership?? We have a viscous history of death and destruction thru out the Yellow/Brown countries. The rich western world must also be as racist as USA, they do not disagree with America’s many wars , America’s war profiteering off Ukraine and Nato, or America’s unaccountable for millions of lives damaged or destroy since after WW2.

The rest of the world must beware of the imperialism under different disguises .

” we hate each other ”

So, it applies not only domestically but also on the foreign stage .

  6. Ahh, that lady should have the Star of David dangling from her cleavage? Great stuff here, with Occupied Palestine’s murderers. Time to end that group of genicidaires, Zionists worldwide:

The war in Syria continues to heat up despite being overshadowed by the conflict in Ukraine. The most recent escalation in the war was an Israeli attack that reportedly triggered Russia.

The attack, which took place on May 13, targeted complex of the Syrian Scientific Studies and Research Center (SSRC) located near the town of Masyaf in the western countryside of Hama. The SSRC is Syria’s main military research and development institution.

Israeli fighter jets launched the attack from international airspace off the Syrian coast. The jets fired 22 guided missiles during the attack, at least 16 of which were intercepted by Syrian air defenses. A drone which also took part in the attack was shot down.

The Israeli attack claimed the lives of three air defense servicemen and two civilian workers of the SSRC. Two soldiers were also wounded as a result of the attack along with five civilians, including a little girl.

In a report on May 16, Israel’s Channel 13 said that Russian forces opened fire on Israeli fighter jets from an S-300 air-defense missile system during the attack.

According to the report, Syrian S-300 batteries commanded by the Russian military opened fire as the Israeli fighter jets were flying on their way back. The report alleged that the S-300 radar did not lock onto the fighter jets and thus did not present a serious threat to them.

  7. Here, voice of truth, yet, we will not hear a peep from Western MainLineLyingMedia —

Russian Foreign Ministry Update on Ukraine, Child Soldiers and Biological Weapons

Ahh, but many a peep here, at sheered off post, as the commentators and needlers just have thte facts (sic) and their own truths (sic).

Rogue state? Right! USA, Klanada, “Israel,” UK, and, count those Eurotrash “countries” too.

Obscene, and this is it for USA — syphilitic politicians and dead from the neck up 20 Percenters.

    Good one here,

The wounded troops are provided with professional medical help. This fact is being turned upside down and misrepresented in the Ukrainian and international media. Remember the footage showing how the militants and the Armed Forces of Ukraine treat POWs in Ukraine? Everyone saw it. It horrified many, others pretended not to have seen it. Russian POWs were shot to death by militants from the nationalist units that became part of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Russia has adopted a different approach. You see footage showing professional help being provided to the wounded [Ukrainian troops]. It is not being provided “for show.” It is provided to real individuals regardless of their background. Humanitarian law is not just something we abide by; it is of fundamental importance for us. No one should have any doubt about this.

According to Ukrainian POWs, the military leadership of Ukraine forbids the troops to retreat or surrender. Their key goal is to destroy as much civilian infrastructure as possible in order to leave behind uninhabitable ruins and make it hard to restore peaceful life. This is not our messaging, but the testimony received from the Ukrainian side over the past weeks.

The nationalists, who have long been using the tactics of ISIS terrorists, do not hesitate to use kindergartens, schools and hospitals as ammunition depots and strongholds. They are not hiding this. They take pictures inside preschools or with preschool buildings in the background to show how they fight there. The civilians are not allowed to evacuate. They are forcing people to leave their apartments so that they can set up firing positions there. They are driving people to basements that are used by militants or as weapons depots. The other day, Ukrainian nationalists began to bring in ammunition and deployed air defence systems on the grounds of the Odessa film studio. The territorial defence force militants go door-to-door in order to identify residents who do not accept the nationalist way of thinking. They are taken away to unknown locations and there’s no information about the fate of many of them.

    More good stuff,

Russell “Texas” Bentley returns to The Grayzone alongside fellow US socialist Fergie Chambers to detail their experiences documenting the Russian-Ukrainian war in the Donbas region. Chambers will discuss his recent visit to a dungeon of the Ukrainian state-backed Aidar Battalion, and his interviews with Donetsk-based communists, while Texas will describe being on the front lines with the Donetsk People’s Republic militia.

  8. Thanks Fish. I love the innocent eyes on Lady Liberty.
“How could a pretty girl like me ever kill children, old people, blacks, Hispanics, Jews, women, LGBT, indiscriminately? Wait, where did these guns come from? You can’t believe I would responsible for this. After all, I’m pretty little Lady Liberty. I wouldn’t harm a fly (unless of course that fly tried to badmouth our capitalist consumer driven status quo. Then I’ll be forced to empty every clip into your sorry commie ass)”

    1. Around that time an Israeli official, Mded Ginon, came up with the plan to try and break up Israel’s neighbours along ethnic and religious/sectarian lines, beginning with Lebanon o Mfficially titled -A Strategy for Israel in the *Nineteen Eighties, the Yinon plan appeared first in February 1982 in the Journal of the information department of the World Zionist Organization in Jerusalem, Kivunim,
before being translated into English by an Israeli critic. The Lebanese scenario of which Yinon spoke, would involve that country’s ‘total dissolution into five provinces’ ; this in turn should serve ‘as a precedent for the entire Arab world including, Egypt, Syria, Iran, and the Arabian peninsula.’

    1. Ahh, a picture, even Mr. Fish’s, are not a thousand words. In fact, we need more words to explain just how rotten this country is. For instance:

Nearly 80% of the SWAT raids the ACLU studied were conducted to serve search warrants, usually in drug cases. With public support for the War on Drugs at an all-time low, police are using hyper-aggressive, wartime tools and tactics to fight a war that has lost its public mandate.

      https://www.aclu.org/issues/criminal-law-reform/reforming-police/war-comes-home

Read the report! Mr. Fish will, and get some ideas for more amazing art!

  9. Common sense for progressives and revolutionaries: this is the ongoing reality, which will not change.

    Arm yourselves.

    1. Non-Americans have reason to fear US terror laws. As a retired Judge Advocate General, I don’t say that lightly.

      https://www.theglobalist.com/pity-germans/

Cognitive Warfare, coined by the Jews in Occupied Palestine.

Oh, those Kagans . . . proud Jews, too:

Information warfare uses disinformation and propaganda to condition a population to hate a foreign nation or population with the intent to foment a war, which is the routine “business” of the best known U.S. think tanks.

There are two levels to this information war. The first level is by the primary provocateur, such as the Rand Corporation, the American Enterprise Institute and the smaller war instigators found wherever a Kagan family member lurks. They use psychological “suggestiveness” to create a false narrative of danger from some foreign entity with the objective being to create paranoia within the U.S. population that it is under imminent threat of attack or takeover.

      https://www.commondreams.org/views/2016/08/17/how-think-tanks-generate-endless-war

      By Robert Parry

Neoconservative pundit Robert Kagan and his wife, Assistant Secretary of State Victoria Nuland, run a remarkable family business: she has sparked a hot war in Ukraine and helped launch Cold War II with Russia and he steps in to demand that Congress jack up military spending so America can meet these new security threats.

This extraordinary husband-and-wife duo makes quite a one-two punch for the Military-Industrial Complex, an inside-outside team that creates the need for more military spending, applies political pressure to ensure higher appropriations, and watches as thankful weapons manufacturers lavish grants on like-minded hawkish Washington think tanks.

    2. Lady of the Night Liberty needs a cloth mask on, with UkiNazi colors, and of course, the real bullets are those jabs, those shots, and Sheared Off Post will not deal with the SARS-CoV2 issues. Never! However, how do you like this coup?

Acting on an initiative from the Biden Administration, by November 2022, conveniently at the onset of the next flu season in the northern hemisphere, the World Health Organization, barring a miracle, will impose an unprecedented top-down control over the national health regulations and measures of the entire planet. In what amounts to a stealth coup d’etat, WHO will get draconian new powers to override national sovereignty in 194 UN member countries, and to dictate their health measures with force of international law. It is sometimes referred to as the WHO Pandemic Treaty but it is far more. Worse, most of the WHO budget comes from private vaccine-tied foundations like the Gates Foundation or from Big Pharma, a massive conflict of interest.

      Draconian New WHO Powers

Doing something with stealth means doing it in a secretive or concealed manner, to prevent it being widely known and possibly opposed. This applies to the proposal given by the Biden Administration to the Geneva WHO in January 18, 2022 according to official WHO documents. The WHO hid the details of the US “amendments” for almost three months, until 12 April, just a month before the relevant body of the WHO meets to approve the radical measures. Moreover, rather than the previous 18 month waiting time to become treaty in international law, only 6 months are used this time. This is a bum’s rush. The US proposal is backed by every EU country and in total 47 countries ensuring almost certain passage.

      More big news, uh?

      https://journal-neo.org/2022/05/18/who-stealth-coup-to-dictate-global-health-agenda-of-gates-big-pharma/

Get that Lady of Realm of Terror with a UkiNazi flag tatoo on her deltoids, and a hypodermic needle around her neck, man!

  10. When faced with the gun toters, (including those in my family) I tell them that their movement will win. Because they, or someone just like them, will eventually kill me and the other unarmed citizens of the nation. In their violent victory, they will then have no one to then turn their guns on but each other. And they will. I then retell the story of two 2nd amendment believers who lead a successful campaign against a small gun safety restriction in Texas. They celebrated the victory by going to a bar, getting in and argument and shooting each other. One fatally.

  11. Two out of three movies defecated out of Hollywood have the same theme.
    Guns solve ‘problems’.
It’s no wonder the cowboy culture rules.
    Grow up.
    For your children’s sake.

    1. Half the shows on TV are either police porn (dolled up fascists) or non-mysterious murder mysteries (cases often 25 years old). 70 years of western shoot ’em ups run 24/7 on the grubby channels. Somebody please describe the Cable and subscription show content because my income is < $9,000. and I couldn't feed my cat if I subscribed. We are bombarded with fetishized and sexualized gun violence constantly, and then there is the bloody emphasis in news. Keeps us fearful, and thinking police are super heroes.

  12. Wow this picture goes along with the cover of my book and I’m reminded that in mostly white Christian Texas the number one state for school shootings are legislators want to make sure that 18 year olds can get AFK 47s an dA.R. fifteens. But they have to be 21 to get a regular handgun since the FBI and the central lack of intelligence agency don’t know millions of machine guns are stored in peoples houses and sheds getting ready to take a few hundred years step back form malitias. The militias that they talk about in the constitution were originally set up to bring back slaves and since we don’t have any slaves we might not need militias. cowsandpigsmaketheearthwarm.com
